On 12 April 2011 we inaugurated the Media Center at Gustav Reichel Primary. For two years we were hard at work in realising this dream of a computer center and Ockie van Wyk took initiative to get the necessary funding for the project. Auto & General funded reparations to the building. Netcare donated 24 computers and Tsitsikamma Forest Village donated desks. Lynn Anderson joined the school and she gives computer classes for the learners.
The program we use consists of:
- General computer literacy
- Perception development
- Reading & comprehension test
- Spelling and word recognition
- Hand/eye coordination
- Listening skills
- Math and science
Lynn Anderson is our computer instructor and is doing a great job. In total there are 102 pupils attending these classes between the ages of 5-12 years.
